Minster Primary School is committed to ensuring every child feels safe and included at lunchtime, especially those with allergies, food intolerances, or dietary restrictions due to religious beliefs. Pupils with specific dietary needs wear clearly identifiable lanyards, enabling staff to instantly recognise and respond to individual requirements. All catering and supervisory staff are fully briefed and regularly updated on pupils' dietary profiles to prevent cross-contamination and ensure appropriate meal provision. In line with Natasha’s Law, the school maintains transparent food labelling practices and rigorous allergen management procedures, reinforcing its dedication to pupil safety and legal compliance.

Please be advised that from Tuesday 1st September 2026 there will be a price increase to the cost of the main school meal. The current price is £2.70 for a main meal and a dessert. This will increase to £2.85. Just like you as families, the school has continued to experience cost pressures on wholesale food throughout 2025/26. We remain committed to supporting our families and look to hold the price as much as possible, but regrettably we are increasing our prices for 2026/27.

It should be noted that a school meal still provides excellent value for money. Our prices remain amongst the lowest when compared with other local primary schools and we continue to work closely with our internal catering teams. They continue to offer an exciting and varied range of meals, snacks and drinks which are both healthy and nutritious.
