Our TTRS statement of purpose
‘At Minster we believe that times tables knowledge is a cornerstone of mathematical success. We are committed to using Times Table Rock Stars as a vehicle to practise and embed fluency and rapid recall: laying the foundations for confident mathematicians who can identify and manipulate number relationships.’
Expectations
Pupils
- Keep a five minute daily average
- Strive to consistently improve
- Outcomes seen in multi magician test
Teachers
- Encourage and monitor engagement
- Provide support for pupils finding TTRS difficult
- Use TTRS as an intervention tool, ensuring times tables progress
- Engage in TTRS events
Parents
- Support pupils to participate in times tables practise
- Celebrate success through sharing in their child’s journey (certificates and guides can be found on our website)
- Encourage participation in termly tournaments
