Our TTRS statement of purpose

‘At Minster we believe that times tables knowledge is a cornerstone of mathematical success. We are committed to using Times Table Rock Stars as a vehicle to practise and embed fluency and rapid recall: laying the foundations for confident mathematicians who can identify and manipulate number relationships.’

Expectations

Pupils

• Keep a five minute daily average
• Strive to consistently improve
• Outcomes seen in multi magician test

Teachers

• Encourage and monitor engagement
• Provide support for pupils finding TTRS difficult
• Use TTRS as an intervention tool, ensuring times tables progress
• Engage in TTRS events

Parents

• Support pupils to participate in times tables practise
• Celebrate success through sharing in their child’s journey (certificates and guides can be found on our website)
• Encourage participation in termly tournaments
